Update on Computer Based Testing Issues

April 12, 2018 - We'd like to update our community on the CBT issues New York State had on Wednesday, April 11th. We were administering the 7th grade ELA CBT at the time of the computer issues with the testing software. Our students were able to continue working through the outage and by the end of the scheduled testing period all our 7th graders were able to successfully submit their test. This was the second day of testing for the 7th graders, there were no issues on the first day of testing. Our students and teachers did a great job handling the unexpected outage, they were patient and remained calm.

Given that not all schools across New York State were as successful completing their test yesterday, the district has made the decision to reschedule the 8th grade ELA testing for Monday, April 16 and Tuesday, April 17th. This will give the CBT system a few more days to ensure all issues have been resolved and provide our students will a better testing experience. If you have any questions, please contact the Jr. Sr. High School at 518-753-4458.

Our students in grades 3-6 continue to use paper based testing and were not impacted by any of the CBT issues.
