September 26, 2017 - Our fourth graders traveled back in time to the year 1780 by going just down the road to the Knickerbocker Mansion. They learned about the early colonial ages by reenactments from a Dutch settler, a Native American, a slave, a Knickerbocker family member and a Revolutionary War Soldier. They also learned about the Witenagemot Oak Tree and respectfully paid a visit to the Knickerbocker family cemetery. The fourth grade social studies curriculm focus on New York State history, we are very lucky to have such historical treasures in our back yard.
